About Armenian Numerals

The classical Armenian numeral system uses letters of the Armenian alphabet. Each letter has a specific numerical value (e.g., Ա=1, Ժ=10, Ճ=100, Ռ=1000).

The system is additive, and numbers are written left-to-right, with letter values typically arranged in descending order.

Example: ՍՂ = Ս (2000) + Ղ (90) = 2090.

Sometimes an overline (or other marks) indicates numerals, but this converter uses only the letters. It covers the range 1-9999.

How It Works

The calculator converts the Armenian numerals (1-9999) to decimal, performs the calculation, and converts the result back to Armenian.

Enter standard Armenian numerals (letters only). Ensure letters are generally in descending order of value.

Results are limited to positive integers between 1 and 9999. Division results are floored.
